I had the pleasure
of providing Mike Sidler his phase II flight training in his beautiful
Rotorway 162F at his home in Texas. When a crank sensor quit in flight
I was able to demonstrate a for real autorotation to the ground for Mike.
Mike flipped the
front landing bow and installed the longer skids for extra saftey. They
came in really handy when we had to do an auto when the crank sensor quit.
Once we got new ones overnighted by Robin at Rotorway, we were back flying
the next day.
