The Buttons below will take you through the different hints and tips that I feel will make your helicopter safer and more reliable.

   
         
The collective control pocket needs to be modified in some ships. Below are several photos showing the stock and modified pockets.
In the above photo you can see how my knuckles do not have enough room to hold the throttle and still clear the side of the tub on this Rotorway 162F. This will make lowering the collective fully into the pocket during an autorotation very difficult. If your ship does not have room for your hands between the body panel and the throttle control, you may consider widening this area on your helicopter.
 
The photo above shows how there is now enough room for my hand to fit between the throttle and the modified collective control pocket. If you are building, you might want to check your clearances and if you don't have the room you may wish to do this mod before the ship is completed.
